Parm Kaur was born in the Black Country. She has lived in various parts of England
and Mexico since then and is currently based in London. She is a poet, playwright,
and director who has collaborated with dancers, video makers, actors, directors,
and visual artists. Her work has been commissioned and broadcast on BBC Radio
3 & 4 and BBC 2 television. She has read her poetry nationally and internationally
in India, Switzerland, Mexico and Denmark.
Her practice is primarily concerned with the idea of language and explores
individual art forms as different languages that can be utilized individually,
as in poetry, or juxtaposed in the same space, in dance, drama and video performances
and installations.
